How to Design Bathroom cabinets in Just Five Steps
Post: How to Design Bathroom cabinets in Just Five Steps

Here are the steps we followed in designing the new cabinetry:

  1. Assessing the Space
Initially, we inquired about the existing space to ensure that the new cabinet would fit accordingly. We took note of the current countertop height, which measures approximately 33 inches. Bathroom counters typically range between 31 and 36 inches in height.
  2. Evaluating Functionality
Considering the client’s requirement for two sinks, we aimed to maintain the same functionality as the existing vanity. The current vanity comprises storage areas behind doors below each sink and drawers between the sink storage. We decided to preserve this functional storage in the new design.
  3. Determining the Style
Our client expressed a preference for a traditional drop-in sink shape and painted cabinets with partial overlay doors. To ensure cohesion with the rest of the home, we will apply a faux finish to match the existing cabinetry.
  4. Addressing Storage Needs
In addition to the existing storage, our client desired extra storage space. To fulfill this requirement, we planned to incorporate a small countertop cabinet between the sinks. Furthermore, the cabinet door will feature seeded glass, complemented by a fabric curtain to conceal bathroom clutter.
  5. Selecting the Countertop
Consistency was a priority, so we decided to use Cambria countertops, similar to the ones found throughout the rest of the home. Ensuring optimal functionality in a bathroom remodel is essential. When considering a bathroom renovation, it’s crucial to take into account the current cabinet usage and identify any areas that may require improvement.
